Design and develop an achievement aggregation and distribution service to explore new ways of self presentation online. Conducted market research, client outreach, and user tests. Used Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator to design badges, logo, marketing collateral, and web design. Coded site CSS and Javascript.
Researched Twitter and Facebook APIs for aggregating and distributing comments and news on NBCU holdings. Also designed software for processing live feeds on athlete stats, medal counts, and other news for NBC’s coverage of the 2010 Olympics. Resulting software was used for a one screen application allowing cable viewers to access up-to-date information while watching the Olympics.
Development of the iCensr iPhone application and companion website. The application allowed users to take pictures and redact portions of the image with a swipe of their finger. Pictures could then be saved, uploaded to Twitter, or submitted to the iCensr website where visitors could view and vote on pictures, encouraging a dialogue on censorship.
Wrote proposals for websites, games, and applications to promote movie and television releases for Fox holdings such as 24, Australia, and District 9.
Wrote back-end code and ActionScript 3.0 for entertainment websites and explored alternative applications including widgets and gadgets for web promotion. Work included a multi player game on environmental responsibility for Horton Hears a Who, a viral postcard campaign for Jumper, and a computer wallpaper generator for 10,000 BC.
